I'm Leah Cockerham and I am the artist behind LC Art & Design!  

I currently live in Arizona and am pursuing my Education Doctorate in Policy and Leadership at American University. 

But here's a little bit more about my life as an artist...

 

My first love has always been photography - both film and digital.  As I entered college though, I quickly expanded my interests to charcoal drawings and acrylic paints. 

I, like many artists, find no better outlet to express myself than through art and design.  I'm constantly bouncing back and forth between projects and mediums. One day, I'll start with making some earrings and by the time the days over I'll be cross-stitching a pun that only me and my dog find hilarious. No matter what I'm working on, my hope is to continue to create colorful works of art that help people appreciate the little things in life. As for this website: my goal is that it acts as a diary for my artistic journey, encompassing the vast range of mediums and techniques that continue to inspire me.

When I'm not creating, painting, or drawing, I love boxing, reading, traveling, and improvising at the local comedy club.
